Eye Patches

The Fun Patches are made from layers of fabric and breathable foam that is safe for medical use. The inner blackout layer ensures comfort against the skin and absorbs or wicks away any moisture.

The junior eye patches are 7cm by 5.5cm with the tip of the cone approximately 2cm away from the eye. The elastic for around the head is 35cm long and stretches to over twice that length.

It is possible to wear an eye patch over glasses, but the patch may be less effective as an occluder.

Kay Fun Patches

The actual patch size is 11.5cm long and 6cm wide (5 x 2.5 inches). The patches are designed to fit most young children’s glasses frames and can be adjusted when worn to achieve the best possible fit.

Yes. Both our Fun Patches and Eye Patches should be hand washed with mild detergent in cool water and air dried to maintain their shape and appearance.

All our fun patches are symmetrical in shape and can be worn on the right or left eye. Most pattern designs are suitable for either eye. However, some patches with larger scale designs have right or left eye options. All Eye Patches can be used on either eye equally well.

The patch fits inside the glasses frame. It has three buttonholes and an elastic strap to attach at the side and through the nose piece, if there is one, or by the elastic if not. For full details please see the instructions.

The patch must fit properly so there are no places to peep. Correctly fitting glasses are essential to keeping the patch fitting snugly over the eye. If the glasses slip down the nose, so will the patch. Use glasses retainers around the head, or behind the ears. Also, make sure that the elastic strip covers the single buttonhole again after inserting the nose piece.

Yes, the patch is easily removed and re-fitted to different frames.
